The Somers Historical Society is calling residents to participate in its Gingerbread Festival, featuring a gingerbread contest, on various dates throughout December. Gingerbread houses must be completed and delivered to Wright Reis Homestead from noon to 3 p.m Dec. 5 or 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 6. To participate in the gingerbread contest, enter by Dec. 1. There is a $10 registration fee per category.
