Charles Biagio Reina of Somers, New York and formerly of Pleasantville, builder of many homes, loving husband, and caring and proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on October 14, 2015 at the age of 94. Charles was born on March 16, 1921 in Corleone, Sicily, Italy to Frank and Rose Reina. Watermark wins two contracts

Watermark recently announced that its Remediation Group was awarded two contracts with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Watermark was awarded a $2.9 million pact for the remediation of a former gas plant site in Cold Spring, N.Y. The company was also awarded a $4.1 million contract for the remediation of subdivision off-site site in Somers, N.Y. Watermark, headquartered in the Wannalancit Mills, offers a variety of services, including consulting, construction and remediation for environmental, buildings and infrastructure projects throughout the United States.

Yorktown GOP Complains About Missing Campaign Finance Forms Of Patel

The Westchester Republican County Committee's Law Committee filed a formal complaint recently, charging that Yorktown Democratic supervisor candidate Vishnu Patel, failed to comply with New York State campaign finance law. Patel, in his 32-day pre-general election filing, reported making a single expenditure for $40,000 to Frankin Baraff Communications of Somers, raising questions over how recent direct mail solicitations and newspaper ads stamped "Paid for by Friends of Vishnu Patel" have been funded, according to the Yorktown Republican Party.

Somers HS Football Game Postponed After Sleepy Hollow Stabbing Death

The varsity football game between Somers and Sleepy Hollow scheduled for Sleepy Hollow on Saturday has been postponed following the Friday night stabbing death of a 17-year-old boy in Sleepy Hollow. "Due to a tragic incident in our community, today's Homecoming game has been postponed," The Tarrytown Union Free School District said in a statement.
