Fire Destroys Somers FD Vehicle

An assistant chief's vehicle belonging to the Somers Fire Department was destroyed by fire on Thursday evening, said Ken Hoffarth, a manager for the department's fire district. The vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, was being serviced in a maintenance room in the back of the firehouse off of Route 139, across the street from Somers High School, Hoffarth said.
