Granite Springs Man Trying To Avoid Towing Fee Steals Own Car, Police Say

A Granite Springs man who was trying to avoid a $291.39 towing fee ended up having to post a $10,000 bail after Stamford, Conn., police accused him of stealing his own car, according to a report by The Stamford Advocate . John Noto, 25, of Granite Springs, a hamlet in Somers, is facing misdemeanor burglary and larceny charges after, police said, he broke into a Stamford towing company's lot and drove off with his impounded Jeep Grand Cherokee in March, The Stamford Advocate article said.
