Somers voters have approved a 2016-17 school budget of $87 million, schools Superintendent Dr. Raymond H. Blanch said Wednesday. While the tax levy of $74,673,878 actually decreased by .03 percent, the new tax rate of $157.94 reflects an increase of .57 percent.
