Route 6 Stop Leads To DWI, Drug Charges For Man, 52

New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 52-year-old Michael J. Gaunt, of Mahopac, on Sunday for driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and unlawful possession of marihuana. Troopers were dispatched to assist Somers Police Department with a traffic stop on Route 6. Following an investigation by the arresting officer, it was determined that Gaunt was intoxicated at the time of the stop.
