The Somers squad won the Brewster Super League A Division title on June 22 at the Brewster Sports Center, 19 Sutton Pl., Brewster, N.Y. The boys clamped down on defense in the championship game to beat Venom, a team that had beaten them by 20 points in the regular season finale. Venom jumped out to an early lead, but Somers was able to settle down, dominate the boards and play stellar defense -- which translated into opportunities on offense.
