Robert Ondrovic drove 280 miles from Somers, New York, to arrive in Washington D.C. in time for the cherry blossoms to reach their peak bloom on Saturday. He was groggy when he got there at 3:30 a.m., but said he was "suddenly 'refreshed' when the weather and conditions were so favorable to capture this image" of the Tidal Basin.
