A $1.3 million project to install a three-color traffic signal at the intersection of Route 139 and the driveway to Somers High School is part of $43.7 million in road and bridge work being committed to the Hudson Valley, the New York State Department of Transportation said on Thursday afternoon. The traffic signal installation project will include the addition of a left-turn lane on the southbound approach of Route 139 to accommodate traffic turning into the high school driveway, as well as new pavement markings and highway signage.
