At 9 p.m. Dec. 19 the New York State Police conducted a DWI sobriety checkpoint on Route 35 in Somers which yielded the following arrests: Steven Smart, 42, resident of Ridgefield, CT-Misdemeanor DWI Arrest-refused chemical test. He is due in Somers town court Jan. 12. Carlos Ramirez, 42,, resident of Katonah, NY-Misdemeanor DWI Arrest-had a BAC.
