A driver received serious injuries during a single-vehicle crash on I-684 after the vehicle was consumed in flames, according to the New York State Police. The crash took place around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near Exit 7 in Purdys after the male driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the northbound side of the highway, state police in Somers said.
