Artists can learn tinted drawing at Somers Library through a four-hour workshop on Monday, Jan. 26 and Monday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tinted drawing, originally developed by artists of the Renaissance as an aid to oil painting, was the forerunner of watercolor. Using this method, sketches were shaded in with only one or two washes.
