Some thunderstorms could produce gusty winds in excess of 50 miles per hour, with scattered gusts up to 70 mph, as well as frequent lightning, hail and downpours that could result in ponding of water or poor drainage flooding. The storm chance returns Saturday afternoon after 2 p.m. during a partly sunny day with a high in the low 80s.
